Planting Plans
The planting plan is normally a separate plan because it does provide different information than that of the Concept plan.
The choice of plant-materials will depend on the wishes of the owners, local climate, soil-conditions, as well as harmonising with the site and complementing the site and neighbouring plants.
Information shown on this plan include location of the plants, botanical names, common names, number of plants required, plant spacing, plantsizes required and any special comments.
This is often shown on a separate list, which can be taken to a nursery or garden center for pricing.
Furthermore the planting plan will also provide information on issues such as: ground preparation, fertilising, mulching, irrigation etc.
Concept plan and planting plan together will provide the owners or the Contractor sufficient information to carry out the landscaping or provide a quote for the implementation.
